The Pegasus Foundation's Caring Fields Education Center, Broward County Parks and Recreation, and Broward County Animal Care and Regulation present:

Managing Feral Cats Through
Trap-Neuter-Return

Wednesday, February 11, 2009
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Anne Kolb Nature Center
Mangrove Hall
751 Sheridan St., Hollywood, Florida

Cats are abandoned more frequently than any other companion animal in the United States. This has led to increased numbers of feral cat colonies throughout the country, as well as in southern Florida. What can be done to address the welfare of feral cats?

Attend this workshop to hear from experts about what is being done to manage feral cat colonies in southeast Florida. Share success stories, challenges, and strategies for long-term solutions with others engaged in improving the welfare of Florida's cats.

Read about other adult education workshops.

David Aycock, Animal Control Officer for the City of Pompano Beach. David will discuss the National Animal Control Association's work with trap-neuter-return programs, including how cat colony managers and animal control officers can work together to promote quality of life for feral cats.
